On October 12-13, 2015, 25 students from Targovishte Municipality successfully passed their Cyberscout training. During the two days, the youngsters learned about the most common online risks and the ways to protect themselves against them. Last but not least, they learned about the importance of sharing the skills they have acquired with their peers.
After the completion of the training, which represents only the first part of the Cyberscout programme, the students from Targovishte Municipality joined the contest with the other Cyberscout teams (from Smolyan, Vidin, Shumen and Pleven). The task of the contest is to organise an awareness-raising event about online safety in their school, community or town. On February 9, 2016, when we mark the International Safer Internet Day, the three best initiatives will be awarded. The awards will be provided by Telenor Bulgaria and will be presented by the Minister of Interior of Bulgaria.
The Cyberscout programme was realized with the help of the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria and was financed by Telenor Bulgaria.
